OF SENATORS BUKOLA SARAKI AND NATASHA AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN: WHEN THE FACTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES
Senator Bukola Saraki, the President of the 8th Senate had advised that, Senator Godswill Akpabio, who is the President of the 10th Senate should step down to allow for investigation into the sexual harassment allegation by senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against him.
FACTS IN ISSUE;
1.Recall that in 2018, while still serving as the President of the 8th Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki was mentioned in the Offa bank robbery incident, where about 33 people, including pregnant women and Police officers, were gruesomely murdered. Dr Saraki never stepped down as Senate President for the sake of the Institution.
2.The same Dr Bukola Saraki while still serving as the President of the 8th Senate was docked in the Code of Conduct Tribunal. He was always coming from the Code of Conduct dock to preside over the Senate proceedings.
He was never invited or appeared before the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges. He never stepped down for the sake of the institution.
Dr Bukola Saraki wants the Senate President to step down because Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is involved.
