– turns his security man to a Graduate.
Written by: Daniel Edon
Mkpisong Frank Archibong, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, yesterday, 16th. May, attended the convocation of his security staff, Mr. Aniefiok Thompson, who graduated with a degree in Public Administration from Heritage Polytechnic Eket.
what made this moment special is that Frank Archibong had promised to sponsor Aniefiok’s education in 2021, and he kept his word, showcasing his commitment to supporting his team members’ personal growth.
In an emotional Moment, Aniefiok expressed gratitude, calling Frank Archibong a true father figure who made his dream a reality. The event was attended by friends, well-wishers, and colleagues who came to celebrate this milestone.
Frank Archibong, who recently bankrolled the traditional marriage and wedding of his former PA, Harrison Harrison John , now PA to Akwa Ibom State Governor, encouraged other youths to follow Aniefiok’s example, assuring them that his ‘Foundation’ would continue to support education initiatives, aligning with Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda to empower less privileged individuals.
To further assist less privileged persons in Akwa Ibom State and beyond, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, had floated an NGO: The Frank Archibong Udo Foundation.
The NGO focuses on increased access to education for out-of-school children, providing basic education, nutrition, health services, counseling, and community development support. Some of their initiatives include:
– Educational Support: Providing scholarships and promoting academic excellence among children. They have awarded 100 scholarships across 9 states in Nigeria.
– Annual Free JAMB Form Distribution: The foundation covers the cost of JAMB registration to promote educational access and empower young scholars.
– Empowering Youths: Frank Archibong’s efforts extend beyond education, including providing access to land, Grants, vocational training, and infrastructure development.
Through these initiatives, Frank Archibong is making a positive impact in Akwa Ibom State, particularly in education and community development. He has sponsored many of our youths from First Degree to Masters and Doctorate degree programs.
His compassionate level is indeed above the cloud level. This writer is a great beneficiary.
