FRANK ARCHIBONG HAILS APPOINTMENT OF HIS PERM SECT AS HIGH COURT JUDGE

The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Frank Archibong has hailed the elevation of his Permanent Secretary, Bassey Ekanem Esq ,as Judge of High Court , describing the appointment as well deserved.

The outgoing Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barr Bassey Ekanem is to be sworn in as Judge of High Court on Monday 16th December, 2024 by the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno alongside five others.

Speaking during the weekly Monday morning fellowship of the Ministry, the Commissioner lauded Barr Ekanem for his invaluable contributions to the Legal profession, his expertise and commitment to duty, adding that within the short time of Ekanem as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, his midas touch is so visible for all to see.

” Barr Ekanem has not been here up to three months, but he has made an impact of so many years. For me it’s mixed feelings of sadness and joy”.

 

” At times God brings certain people your way for a purpose. It could be to guide you ,to reorder your steps , someone that could competently stand in for you in your absence and make you sleep with your two eyes closed, this is one of such persons. We want you to say that we are proud of you. We are proud of the things you have done”

The Commissioner congratulated the outgoing Permanent Secretary, and prayed God to bless him and grant him the grace to stand out, and excel in his new position.

Responding, the Permanent Secretary , Barr Bassey Ekanem, thanked the Management and Staff for the support and cordiality extended to him which he said were driving forces behind the strides recorded so far.

The Judge designate particularly applauded the Commissioner for giving him a conducive atmosphere to function, saying Hon Archibong has listening ears and was always granting his proposals for the uplift of the Ministry, pledging to always be a part of the Ministry.

The event featured presentation of Choir ropes facilitated by the Permanent Secretary to the Choir of the Ministry .
